Call for Volunteers – Organisation Committee – NICOLE workshop Spring 2015 – Manchester, UK

 In the Spring of 2015, NICOLE  plans to hold a workshop in Manchester, UK to explore the theme of “ Unconventional Contaminants ” . The precise format and content is yet to be finalised but the intention is to focus on topics such as: 

  • New and Emerging Contaminants e.g. per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including perfluorooctane sultanate (PFOS) ·         Radionuclides, radionuclides and naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) ·         More challenging metals and metalloids (e.g. Arsenic, chromium, molybdenum etc) ·         Asbestos and so on. 

 

The workshop will be chaired by Rick Parkman (URS) in cooperation with the University of Manchester (UoM)  – School of Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Science.

We hope to formalise the Organisation Committee as  soon as possible, so we can agree the precise scope of topics to be covered and also the dates of this workshop very soon. ?? ?We hereby call for candidates to join the Organizing Committee for this workshop.
