«This document is the results of an initiative of the Eionet National Reference Centres for Soil. It aims to contribute to a better understanding of the remediation of contaminated sites and brownfields rehabilitation which is essential for sustainable land use management and to share best practices and new techniques, meanwhile raising awareness of the enormous efforts needed to succeed. This document presents many examples in various contexts and different European countries“.
